Growing up in northern California, Lisa has always enjoyed highlighting, through art, a sense of the beauty of God's creation. Drawing and painting the wonders of the natural world fill me with a peace and joy that she loves to share both through her own artwork and by teaching children and adults.
Lisa graduated from UC Davis with a degree in environmental policy, while fitting in some art classes, one taught by Wayne Thiebaud. After graduating, she completed a certificate course in graphic design from Davis, and went on to take classes at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and various colleges as she moved around the country, finally settling in Lake County, California. She also attended wonderful workshops offered through the Mendocino Arts Center and Point Reyes with Birgit O'Connor, Erin Dertner and Nancy Collins. Lisa loves to explore new ways to select the beauty around her and share that with her students.
One of Lisa's favorite joys is sharing great art with her family.
